The End Time

Bible students will be aware that through-out scripture we are taught that an end will come to the earth as we know it. In the time of Noah God destroyed the earth with water because of sin. Sodom was destroyed supernaturally by fire, because of its sin.

The earth is polluted beyond natural remedy and man worships everything but God. Those with no Bible knowledge can look around and see the chaos continues to get worse. Man has no honour, violence is commonplace, corruption is the normal way in every institution at every level. Every perversion is common practice.

This know ye also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of themselves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent [without self-control], fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady [rash, reckless], high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 2 Timothy 3:1-4

Jesus said, “And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage [defacto relationships], until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. Luke 17:26-30

The prophet Malachi says, “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch…

…Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. Malachi 4:1-6

We see the conditions are the same as the time of Noah and of Sodom and God will destroy those who destroy the earth.

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. Revelation 11:18

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 2 Pe 3:10–13

God is a just God and always sends warning before judgement. We have read that Jesus said it will be in the day when the Son of man is revealed, and how Malachi says God will send Elijah the prophet before this time of judgement.

God never has worked through committees, organisation and human government.

Surely the Lord God will do nothing, But he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Amos 3:7)

and again

But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. Revelation 10:7

Jesus said that many will claim to be a prophet.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:11

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:24

and

And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: Mark 13:21

Why? Because the devil can only counterfeit what God does, God said he would send a genuine prophet therefore the devil must send a deceiver.

How do we tell the difference?

Jesus tells us to beware of false prophets, and that we would know them by their fruits.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Matthew 7:15-16

Moses also tells us how to identify a false prophet.

And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. Deuteronomy 18:21-22

William Branham was a man approved of God. Recognised as the leading influence of the Pentecostal revival of the 1940s and 1950s, he lived an irreproachable life, had an unparalleled gift and was vindicated by scriptural, supernatural events.

As a young Baptist preacher while baptising hundreds of converts in the Ohio river, a light settled above him and many of the large crowd heard a voice say, “As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of Christ so are you sent to forerun the second coming of Christ.”

Through the years of his ministry, many thousands verified the accuracy of the gift of discernment he exercised as he testified.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8

Dead were raised and sick were healed, often with medical verification. Many witnessed the supernatural events that were commonplace in his life.

One of many photos showing a supernatural light was taken in the Sam Houston Coliseum by a critic and professional photographer. This was examined by G. Lacey examiner of documents for the FBI, and found to be genuine.

The signs that followed William Branham’s ministry were not for our entertainment but were a vindication of the message he brought to turn our hearts back to our Pentecostal fathers (the faith and doctrine of the apostles as taught in the Bible).

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, And the heart of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. Malachi 4:5 & 6
